Elijah Mikaelson in The Originals Episode 14: "Long Way Back from Hell" Throughout The Originals’ first season, viewers have caught glimpses of Elijah Mikaelson’s dark and menacing nature. He killed Agnes, one of the witch elders, by ripping out her heart. He battled Klaus in the pilot. He got cheeky with a bunch of vampire thugs, who threatened the lives of the local bayou werewolves. However, none of those moments even begin to compare to how badass Elijah (Daniel Gillies) gets in The Originals episode 14. The witches of New Orleans messed with his family’s welfare and now they must suffer the consequences. In fact, in a new preview trailer, Elijah, looking polished in a fine suit, drops by a gathering at the cemetery to casually beat down a few spell-casters. He snaps a few necks and jabs a few people right in the nose (ouch!), and then, in an ice-cold voice, asks, “My siblings — where are they?”

And that’s not all! In the new producers’ preview for “Long Way Back from Hell“, the show’s producers Michael Narducci and Julie Plec promise lots of haunting confrontations in the aftermath of their “Empire Strikes Back episode” — you know, the one in which the poor Mikaelsons “got nailed.” While Elijah cracks his knuckles and takes the “Die Hard” approach in rescuing his brother and sister (Yippee ki-yay!), Rebekah (Claire Holt) finds herself trapped in an old, abandoned sanitarium that once served as a treatment facility for influenza patients in 1918.

There, Rebekah endures painful hallucinations due to the werewolf venom coursing through her body, and upon regaining consciousness, she comes face-to-face with Genevieve. “What are you doing, you bitch?” she asks weakly. According to Julie, “this is the episode where Genevieve is hell bent on making sure Klaus learns Rebekah’s secret” and poor Bex is none too keen on that idea. She actually cries and begs Genevieve to make her to do anything except for that but Genevieve merely stares at her and replies, “It’s too late…friend.” (Judging by the flashback scene between Marcel and Rebekah, we’re sending some betrayal in play here!)

As for Klaus, he’s having a pretty terrible day himself. Sophie Deveraux stabbed him with a power, dark object in “Crescent City”, and according to Michael, it “has taken him to extreme places of pain and torment. Yikes!
