What’s going down in The Originals episode titled “Apres Moi, Le Deluge“? According to Julie Plec and Michael Narducci, a whole lot! While Davina (Danielle Campbell) is truly heartbroken over the tragic and unnecessary death of her one true love, Tim, she’s not as weak as she’s pretending. She’s just really angry and ready to enact revenge on all parties involved in the murder of her best friend! “I’m sorry you don’t hate Klaus for what he did,” she snaps at Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), when he brings her a tray of food and tries to apologize for what happened in “The Casket Girls.”
Let’s just say, overall, the supernatural baddies of New Orleans better watch out because Davina is ready to take them all down with the help of an Original — Rebekah (Claire Holt). “We think that she’s down and in the dumps and is not going to recover, and secretly, Rebekah reveals to us that she has made a little insider deal with Davina, and she has a woman on the inside of that compound who’s going to help her take the power back from Marcel and Klaus,” Julie reveals.
Unfortunately though, according to Michael, their plan to usurp Klaus’ power goes “awry.” To be specific, Davina begins to lose control of all the magic she accidentally acquired during the botched Harvest Ritual. “It starts to bleed out of Davina and take the form of a very violent series of events depicted in the elements — earth, air, wind, and fire,” Michael teases. Yikes!
The footage immediately flashes to Sophie Deveraux (Daniella Pineda) informing everyone that “one person was never meant to hold that much power,” and how it’s tearing Davina and all of NOLA apart. We’re then treated to a few gut-wrenching glimpses from Season 1 Episode 11: fierce winds, torrential rains, and Davina coughing up dirt onto her bed. Clearly, The Originals “Apres Moi, Le Deluge” is going to be a “monster” of an episode! (FYI: the dirt is actually made out of cookie crumbs. Rough day on set, eh? Wink wink.)
